American HealthChoice Announces Agreement to Sell Unique State-of-the-art Medical Infrared Imaging System; Capable of Early Breast Cancer Detection
FLOWER MOUND, Texas, Oct. 17 (HSMN NewsFeed) -- American HealthChoice, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AMHI ), a medical services company with more than 50 owned and affiliated medical clinics in Texas and Tennessee, announced today that it has entered into an exclusive U.S. distribution agreement with Texas Infrared, Inc., headquartered in Beaumont, Texas, to sell a medical infrared imaging system to the medical and healthcare industries. Trademarked "Omnibodyscan," the imaging system will initially be utilized to screen for breast cancer and soft tissue injuries."This camera was developed exclusively for American HealthChoice and it is unrivaled in the marketplace," states Gary Strahan, president of Texas Infrared. Mr. Strahan stresses that "my company is fully committed to the partnership with American Health Choice and look forward to its future success as the medical applications for infrared technology are now beginning to be realized."
According to Pat McGlashan, President of RehabCo, a wholly-owned subsidiary of American HealthChoice, "The Omnibodyscan meets all of our stringent requirements to be the best of the breed in infrared imaging technology. It is cost effective for the doctors and clinics while providing healthy profit margins for American HealthChoice and our investors. Clinicians using our product will now be able to highlight areas of abnormality that may not be captured with existing standard radiology equipment. Clinics that are presently screening for breast cancer or soft tissue injuries will have one more important tool to isolate and define problems within the human body. The Omnibodyscan will be capable of full body imaging utilizing state-of-the art infrared camera technology. It will incorporate some of the most advanced and sophisticated infrared electronics available anywhere in the industry. Infrared imaging systems are used by physicians worldwide in the identification of vascular thermal patterns in the breast that signal the early development of breast cancer. These vascular conditions, called Angiogenesis, can show up as hot spots on thermograms years before they can be detected with a mammogram. Unlike mammography, there is no compression of the breasts between two plates, pain, discomfort or radiation with thermal imaging. Thermography is a physiological test that provides a different dimension of information and, used in conjunction with radiology, provides a higher capability of early detection.
American HealthChoice will provide a complete business opportunity to clinics, doctors, entrepreneurs and hospitals including a package of advertising, marketing and promotional materials. American HealthChoice has pending sales once the camera is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which is expected within 60 - 90 days.
