Celerus Diagnostics Launches Rapid Diagnostic Tool

Wave(TM) System Causes Splash in Industry

DENVER--(HSMN NewsFeed)--CelerUS Diagnostics, the rapid cancer diagnostics company, today announced the launch of its revolutionary new system, the WaveTM, at the United States and Canada Academy of Pathology (USCAP) meeting. Capable of producing immunohistochemistry (IHC) results in as little as 15 minutes, the WaveTM System will accelerate lab throughput, enable intra-operative testing, and provide real-time pathology to requesting physicians.

“This system not only increases the efficiency of the lab,” said Michael Sarrasin, CEO, “but improves the patient experience by dramatically reducing the time they need to wait for results. We are extremely proud to present such a rapid results oriented system.”

By repeatedly opening and closing slide segments, the patented Dynamic Replenishment TechnologyTM creates kinetic “waves” which vigorously mix and refresh reagents. Unlike the time-consuming, passive, gravity-based methods of the past, this active recharging process continuously floods antigenic sites on the tissue with new waves of primary and secondary reagents, providing faster and more efficient biding, accelerating reaction times, and enabling unprecedented 15-minute IHC turnaround times.

“Providing results in less than 15 minutes is a technical breakthrough that has resounding effects in the lab, with the physician, and most importantly with the patient,” said Dr. Marc Key, Chief Scientific Officer. “After years of development, we are excited to present it to the industry.”
