Ede Named Vice President of Non-Acute Contracting for Amerinet, National GPO
ST. LOUIS--(HSMN NewsFeed)--Russell Ede has been named vice president of non-acute contracting. In his new role, Ede will take on additional responsibilities in non-acute contracting strategies for Amerinet.As vice president of non-acute contracting, Ede will work with affiliates and key members in the surgery center, primary care and long-term care setting as well as with the Amerinet sales and specialist teams in developing the strategy and contract portfolio for that market.
Ede has more than 13 years of industry experience and has worked as Amerinet’s contracting vice president since 2007. He joined Amerinet in 2005 as the director of custom contracting, managing contracting operations associated with regional Options contracts with key Amerinet groups.
“This change will allow a greater focus in the important market segments that comprise the non-acute sector,” said Dale Wright, Amerinet’s senior vice president of contracting. “Russ’ IDN background in contracting and forward thinking make him the ideal person for this role.”

Ede previously held positions at ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio, where he was promoted to senior contract manager. His primary responsibilities were associated with developing new supply and service agreements for the Lake Erie Regional Cooperative (LERC), where he managed diagnostic imaging and asset management contract areas.
Prior to his tenure at ProMedica/LERC, Ede was the materials manager at Henry County Hospital in Napoleon, Ohio.
Ede graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with dual majors in healthcare administration and marketing. Ede is certified in purchasing management (C.P.M.) from the Institute for Supply Management.
