EZ Surgical Receives FDA 510k Clearance for Surgical Devices
Hewlett, New York, January 2, 2009 - (HSMN NewsFeed) - EZ Surgical has received FDA 510k Clearance for its A-Lap Set(TM), A-Lap Retractor(TM), and EZaxess(TM). The “set” is made up of an innovative 5mm retraction/displacement device with multiple degrees of freedom and expansion, including a dedicated flexible port for optional use. “Our due diligence uncovered a need spanning multiple disciplines, including but not limited to laparoscopic, bariatric, hepatobiliary, thoracic and general surgery for a versatile 5mm device that can retract, displace, maintain present position as well as other functions”, according to Noah Gordon, VP of Sales and Marketing. It’s like having the benefit of a hand at the operative site delivered endoscopically.
