Orthofix International Announces Promotion of Jeffrey Schumm To Senior Vice President and General Counsel
BOSTON--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)-- Orthofix International (NASDAQ:OFIX ) (the Company) today announced the promotion of JeFFRey M. Schumm to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. With over 25 years of business and legal experience, Mr. Schumm joined Orthofix in January 2007 as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel.“Jeff has provided invaluable guidance and support since joining the Company,” stated Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Bob Vaters. “We have benefited from his significant public company, international and litigation experience, and his promotion to General Counsel further strengthens Orthofix’s senior management team.”
Prior to joining Orthofix, Mr. Schumm served as Vice President and General Counsel for Regeneration Technologies, Inc. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Florida and was also affiliated with the law firm of Holland & Knight LLP. Mr. Schumm received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Lehigh University, and earned his law degree at Florida State University College of Law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida and North Carolina State Bar Associations, the Association of Corporate Counsel and the American Health Lawyers Association.
