X-spine Announces Market Launch of Anterior Lumbar Standalone Fusion System
MIAMISBURG, Ohio--(Healthcare Sales & Marketing Network)--X-spine Systems, Inc., a global medical device manufacturer of class-leading products for spinal surgery, announces the market launch of its USFDA-cleared, Irix-A™ Lumbar Integrated Fusion System.Irix-A™ represents the latest generation of X-spine lumbar fusion technology. Incorporating state of the art biomaterials and manufacturing processes, Irix-A™ combines a polymer body with an integrated titanium ring for added strength and durability, a titanium plasma coating of bone-apposing surfaces and a resilient locking mechanism for screw fixation. Irix-A™ is implanted in an anterior approach at one or two contiguous levels of the lumbosacral spine (L2-S1 inclusive).
Irix-A™ is the second addition to the Irix™ integrated interbody device family following Irix-C™ Cervical Integrated Fusion System. The integrated titanium ring in the Irix™ systems has been tested as providing two times the torsional strength compared to standard PEEK implants.
